A note on the state of transportation and unions in India:
On Monday, two Jet Airways airline pilots were apparently fired, so Tuesday all the pilots went on strike. Many domestic flights cancelled. Tuesday we were flying on Jet to Srinigar. Oops, no we weren't. But then we were able to change the ticket to Go Airline and come to Srinigar an hour later than planned. Saturday, we want to go to Leh, in Ladakh. Maybe we'll go on a bus. Turns out bus drivers aren't paid enough, so they're on strike. Oops, not going after all. Fortunately, we can get a shared jeep. Plans on again.
